Pony

Pony.

Tim Lewis.

2008. Aluminum, feathers, electric motors.

The machine-creature stopped in front of the two people. Their softness distorted its sensor readings and presented it with the situation of being 'obstructed' and 'not obstructed' simultaneously. Not having a pre-set reaction to this discord, the machine paused, took several further readings before reverting to its lowest fall-back response to take two paces backwards, turn ninety degrees and walk away. The two people moved off also, disappointed by the machines inability to comprehend them anymore than they might comprehend the presence of a ghost in their world.

this was eerie yet tender. I feel that it portrays being trapped whilst trying to trap others.
